Abstract
We study the approximate solution of certain neutral functional integro- differentialequations describing the aeroelastic motions of certain airfoils, and of related Volterra equations with a delay argument. The focus of the paper is on questions concerning the (uniform) con-vergence and local superconvergence properties of discretization methods based on collocation techniques for equations with smooth kernels.
