Laura Simonite joins EMS Publishing House as Head of Business Development

Laura Simonite joins the Publishing House, with a focus on openness and community.
Laura Simonite has joined the Publishing House of the European Mathematical Society (EMS) in the newly created role as Head of Business Development. Formerly of Publons, a Clarivate Analytics business, she has a decade of experience in publishing and technology businesses and is an International Fellowship Alumna of the Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP).
Based in London, Laura joins the EMS Publishing House as the organisation pivots towards new models of open and transparent publishing. She will be working closely with CEO André Gaul and Editorial Director Vera Spillner, to help shape the future direction of the publisher.
Speaking on the appointment, Dr. Gaul says “we’re pleased to have Laura on board – her understanding of the publishing environment and commercial experience is a valuable asset to the team.
