Order of torsion in CH⁴ of quadrics

Abstract

It is shown that the order of the torsion subgroup in the 4-codimensional Chow group ${\mathrm{CH}}^4(X_{\phi })$ of a projective quadric $X_{\phi }$ is at most 4 provided that the dimension of the corresponding quadratic form $\phi$ is greater than 8.
