Free energies and Fichera’s quasi-static problem for materials with fading memory

Abstract

In this work we are concerned with the Fichera problem related to the quasi-static equation of viscoelasticity. By the use of the space derived from the minimum free energy, connected with a viscoelastic material, we prove a uniqueness and existence theorem in a new large space of data.
