Abstract
Following the abstract approach of [11], we give a general mm-max principle in critical point theory which covers the classical results and applies to a variety of settings. Especially, thanks to the notion of weak slope introduced in [16] and results of [12], this principle applies to continuous functionals and some classes of lower semicontinuous functionals considered in the literature.
