EMS Press is pleased to announce its collaboration with OA Switchboard, a community-driven initiative designed to simplify information sharing between funders, institutions, and publishers throughout the entire publication process. EMS Press’ integration with OA Switchboard is set to start on July 7, 2025.

Academic institutions and research funding organizations with OA Switchboard access will receive automatic notifications when an OA article is published in an EMS Press journal, enabling more efficient monitoring of research outputs through a centralized system. This integration will enhance the visibility of OA research while providing all stakeholders with standardized publication data.

Since 2024, EMS Press' entire journal portfolio has been published open access, combining Subscribe-to-Open (S2O) and Diamond models. This partnership reinforces our commitment to open science and represents a significant advancement in managing our publications within the open access landscape, which involves increasingly complex relationships between publishers, institutions, and funders.

“EMS Press is committed to serving the mathematics community, particularly by promoting fair and sustainable Open Access publishing models,” said André Gaul, Managing Director of EMS Press. “As OA agreements and policies continue to evolve, this partnership will help us better serve our stakeholders by providing streamlined access to data and simplified reporting processes.”

Yvonne Campfens, Executive Director of Stichting OA Switchboard, states: “OA Switchboard shapes collaborative infrastructure to make the ecosystem work better for everyone. It is a mission-driven practical solution that thrives on collaboration. The more stakeholders connect, the better the service for everyone. We are delighted to have EMS Press, with their OA ambitions, participate in the initiative.”
