Stable pseudo-quadratic modules

Abstract

We give a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of pseudo-quadratic Tits quadrangles in terms of a stability condition for pseudo-quadratic modules. We also give a sufficient condition for the existence of a natural projective embedding for these Tits quadrangles and indicate connections to results in unitary $K$-theory of Bak, Vaserstein and others.
