L’Enseignement mathématique was founded in 1899 by Henri Fehr (Geneva) and Charles-Ange Laisant (Paris). It is intended primarily for publication of high-quality research and expository papers in mathematics, and is also the official organ of the International Commission on Mathematical Instruction.
The journal is indexed in zbMATH Open, and Mathematical Reviews, as well as in Web of Science (in the Emerging Sources Citation Index). Furthermore, it is listed in the DOAJ.
The journal is owned by the Fondation L’Enseignement Mathématique and it adheres to the European Mathematical Society Code of Practice and the publisher's Code of Conduct and Publishing Ethics.
L’Enseignement Mathématique is published in one volume per annum, two issues per volume, approximately 450 pages.
